More generosity came my way. A man who said his name was “Just Ed” gave me $40. He had seen me walking, and flagged me down. A few miles up the road Ed flagged me down AGAIN, and gave me ANOTHEr $40, saying his wife called him a “cheapskate” for “only giving me $40”! Another man ALSO gave me $40 at a bar, covered my meal, and a third one gave me a ride to my hotel.
These shoes make my feet hurt… so (sigh) going to have to get ANOTHER pair soon.
I can’t write long, I am at Ridge Ranch Campground near Newton Falls, Ohio, and have no power.
I am feeling very out of sorts, lonely, sad, anxious,, depressed. It took me nearly 2 months to do 1/4 of the trip, I am way behind schedule..
Need to conserve power so I can charge my phone off the computer. It has all my GPS and mapping and stuff in it.

Loving the generosity and kindness that people are showing you! My heart feels for you in that you’re feeling out of sorts, sad, anxious and depressed. If I was there, I would give you a physical hug. For now…. I send you my love and hugs from NJ to Ohio. Know that the Lord understands your struggles and pain. Don’t be afraid to talk to God and ask for help. He is following you throughout this journey….. hence the blessings and miracles that have been bestowed upon you up to this point! Sweetest of Heavenly dreams to you! 😀

Forget about “schedules”!!! Enjoy what you are accomplishing! 🙂 If you’ve ALREADY finished 1/4 of that trek, REJOICE! 😀 That’s a huge accomplishment already!

I believe the blessings that have been bestowed upon you are because of YOU and what you are accomplishing… nothing else 😉 YOU have earned what others are giving you, and they are doing it because you are inspiring them. jmo 😉

I’m with muleskinninmama (it’s true, I don’t know her.) but, YOU are bringing the good to you! And… you are inspiring some of us more than you know. 800 miles is incredible in anyones book! I am going to walk 30 miles to my friend’s house in June.. mostly because it was time to make a plan that was just for me, and I have been following you. Coincidence that my plan is a 30 mile walk? probably not.
Note for Muleskinninmama… Have you read “Last of the Saddle Tramps” by Mesannie Wilkins?
And to Shawnee… Atta Girl!

Hey! Jim/Throcky just sent some pics of your visit with him to “the porch” :). You are looking GREAT! What a sun tan you already have! It was so good to see pics with YOU in them and see how good you are looking after 800 miles. He said you got new shoes while there. I’m sure hoping they solve the ongoing “feet” issues finally. So NEAT that you and Jim got to meet finally 😀

Shawnee was a lot of fun to be with on her short stop over.. The donkeys enjoyed all the treats she handed out, also…
